Finished in a high-gloss, deep dark blue enamel, this 2.2-litre pot transitions seamlessly from your stovetop or oven straight to your dinner table. Innovative Self-Basting 'Rain-Forest' Lid Say goodbye to dry meals. Staub's engineered heavy-weight, tight-fitting lid features unique interior spikes that continuously collect condensation and drip moisture evenly back over your food. This continuous self-basting system retains up to 10% more moisture than competing cookware brands, keeping your meats incredibly juicy and your vegetables tender. Textured Matte Black Interior for Perfect Searing Unlike traditional shiny white enamel pots, the interior of this Staub cocotte features a specialized matte black enamel coating. This textured surface functions like a natural grill pan, excelling at high-heat searing, deep browning, and delicious caramelisation. It requires absolutely no seasoning, resists chipping and scratching, and will not discolour over time. Universal Stovetop & Oven Compatibility Equipped with a perfectly smooth enamel bottom, this cast iron pot ensures even heat distribution without scratching your kitchen surfaces. It is fully compatible with all heat sources, including gas, electric, glass-ceramic, and induction stovetops . It is also highly heat-resistant, being oven-safe up to 482 C (without the lid) and up to 260 C (with the lid and its durable nickel-steel knob attached).
