Create clean, consistently positioned hinge mortises on the edge of a door with this adjustable aluminium router template. The jig clamps directly to doors up to 1-3/4 inches thick and adjusts for hinge lengths from 2-1/2 to 5 inches. It supports hinges with 1/4-inch and 5/8-inch radius corners. Square-corner hinges can also be fitted, but the corners must be finished with a chisel after routing. Integrated size markings, hand-adjustment knobs and hinge-referenced depth setup simplify new hinge installation, hinge replacement and general door maintenance. This jig is designed for mounting on doors only.
