About this item

Non-toxic, child-safe, bio-degradable wax-based firelighters that always burn! This is a South African invention, and it is produced in South Africa. It sets itself apart from other firefighters, not only with its colours and packaging but primarily in its usability. Clean burning with almost no black smoke, this wax-based lighter is completely non-toxic and yet burns 10% hotter than paraffin-based firelighters, requiring a smaller amount to light a fire. It has an endless shelf life and will always burn, can be lit in hand and blown out (extinguished) if required. With a burn time of 15-20 minutes, wind dependent, one firelighter will get any braai going.

Supplied for 230V outlets, the same as Zimbabwe. If it plugs into a wall socket, it may need a plug adapter.

Orders now, fulfilled from Wed 4 Nov — this item cannot be delivered before then.

- Non-toxic if ingested, important when children are around
- Visible flame, ensuring children do not get burnt, thinking there is no flame
- Wax-based, using a harmless binding agent and food colouring
- Easily blown out (extinguished) if required, and can be used again later
The firelighter contains no paraffin or toxic components and is not only ideal for an outside braai but also for: - Heating fondues (using a quarter or less of a firelighter) - Small Ceramic and Pizza ovens - Use in enclosed spaces
As the packaging is also biodegradable and can be burnt, and the fact that the firelighter can get wet and still burn, this is the perfect fire starter for campers. To save space, we have a smaller travel container as part of the pack.
