A good one gives you a headset, a great base, and a generous wireless range. The Yealink WH66 Mono gives you something fundamentally different: a complete professional communications workstation built into the base, and a premium lightweight DECT single-ear headset sitting on top of it. This is not a headset with a charging cradle. The WH66's base is a UC Workstation - a full-featured desk hub that simultaneously acts as a DECT signal base, a hands-free full-duplex speakerphone, a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen controller, a Qi wireless charging pad for your smartphone, and a USB hub that expands your desktop connectivity. Plug one device into your desk, and your entire communications environment - desk phone, PC, and mobile - comes together in a single intelligent hub that you manage with a single finger on a responsive touch display. This is the Mono version - a single-ear design that leaves one ear completely open to your physical environment. For contact centre agents who need to hear team leaders providing real-time guidance while on customer calls. For open-plan office workers who need to remain accessible to colleagues while on calls. For reception and customer-facing professionals who need to hear walk-in visitors. For any professional whose working day requires simultaneous awareness of both their call and their surroundings - and who also needs the full power of Yealink's UC Workstation at their desk. Yealink Acoustic Shield Technology and two dedicated noise-cancelling microphones filter background noise and deliver HD voice quality on every call. The 330-degree adjustable boom arm positions the microphone precisely - and an Intelligent Mute Zone mutes the microphone automatically the moment you raise the boom 30 degrees upward, without pressing a single button. DECT wireless technology delivers a range of up to 160 metres (525 feet) with Secure DECT authentication and encryption - supporting high-density deployment of up to 200 simultaneous users in the same environment. 13 hours of talk time and 125 hours of standby - with a 2.5-hour full charge from the Workstation base. Replaceable soft leatherette ear cushion and adjustable headband for all-day wearing comfort. The WH66 connects to three devices simultaneously - your PC via USB, your desk phone via USB or EHS adapter, and your mobile phone via Bluetooth. Switch between any of them with a single touch on the base's 4-inch touchscreen. Compatible with all major collaboration platforms. Natively integrated with Yealink IP phones. Manageable via Yealink USB Connect. Optional Qi Wireless Charging Stand (WHC60) and External Busylight (BLT60) available as accessories. One ear free. One device hub. All day, every call. KEY FEATURES UC Workstation Base - Five Functions in One Compact Device The WH66 Mono's base is the product's most significant differentiator. Rather than a simple charging cradle, the UC Workstation base integrates five functions that most desk setups require separate devices for: DECT Signal Base - provides the wireless DECT connection between the base and the headset, with a range of up to 160 metres and support for up to 200 simultaneous users in high-density environments. Full-Duplex Speakerphone - a built-in crystal-quality speakerphone allows hands-free calls directly through the base, without wearing the headset. Bring colleagues around your desk into a call, take a call when the headset is charging, or hold an impromptu in-room meeting - all from the base itself. 4-Inch Capacitive Touchscreen - a 480×800 resolution responsive touch display provides an intuitive control interface for managing calls, switching between connected devices, adjusting settings, and monitoring connection and battery status - all with a single tap. Quick and responsive with near-zero lag. Qi Wireless Charging Pad - the base includes a wireless charging stand for your smartphone, keeping your mobile device charged throughout the day without an additional charger on your desk. USB Hub - two built-in USB ports expand your desktop connectivity, allowing you to connect additional USB devices through the base without losing ports on your laptop. Situational Awareness - One Ear Always Open The WH66 Mono's single-ear design leaves one ear completely open to your physical environment at all times. This is the deliberate choice for professionals who need to remain aware of their surroundings while on calls. Contact centre agents who need to hear team leaders providing real-time guidance. Open-plan office workers who need to hear colleagues approaching their desk. Reception and customer-facing professionals who need to hear visitors. The WH66 Mono delivers the full power of the UC Workstation to exactly these professionals - without isolating both ears from the environment they need to remain part of. Yealink Acoustic Shield Technology - Two-Microphone Noise Filtering Two dedicated noise-cancelling microphones powered by Yealink Acoustic Shield Technology filter out background noise during calls, delivering HD voice quality to your callers even in moderately noisy office and contact centre environments. Office chatter, keyboard sounds, and ambient noise are reduced before your voice is transmitted - keeping every call focused, clear, and professional. Intelligent Mute Zone - Raise to Mute Automatically Raise the boom arm upward by 30 degrees and the microphone mutes automatically - no button press required. This Intelligent Mute Zone provides an immediate, physical muting gesture that is faster and more intuitive than pressing a button. Lower the boom back into position and the microphone becomes active again. For contact centre agents who mute frequently throughout the day, this mechanism dramatically reduces friction and the risk of accidentally transmitting background sounds. 330-Degree Adjustable Boom Arm - Left or Right The boom arm adjusts across a full 330 degrees, allowing precise microphone positioning for either left-ear or right-ear wearing with no functional restriction. Set the microphone exactly where it captures your voice best. 13 Hours Talk Time - 125 Hours Standby Up to 13 hours of continuous talk time and 125 hours of standby on a single charge. The 2.5-hour charge time means a full charge fits within a standard working day break. When docked on the base between calls, the headset tops up automatically. Lightweight with Replaceable Leatherette Cushion The WH66 Mono is lightweight - noticeably lighter than the Dual model thanks to the single-earcup design. The replaceable soft leatherette ear cushion provides comfortable passive contact against the ear for extended wearing sessions. The adjustable headband distributes weight evenly. Cushion replacement keeps the headset feeling fresh over years of use. DECT Wireless - 160 Metres, Up to 200 Users DECT operates on a dedicated radio frequency completely separate from congested Wi-Fi and Bluetooth spectrum, delivering interference-free wireless performance even in device-dense environments. The WH66's range of up to 160 metres (525 feet) provides genuine freedom of movement. High-density deployment of up to 200 simultaneous users makes the WH66 ideal for large open offices and contact centres. Secure DECT authentication and encryption protect every call. Three-Device Connectivity - PC, Desk Phone, and Mobile Simultaneously The WH66 connects to your computer via USB, your desk phone or IP phone via USB or EHS adapter, and your mobile phone via Bluetooth - all three simultaneously and all managed from the 4-inch touchscreen. Switch between them with a single tap - no cable swapping, no manual re-pairing. Built-in Speakerphone - Headset-Free Calls from the Base The full-duplex crystal speakerphone built into the WH66 base provides a hands-free calling option that does not require wearing the headset - use it when the headset is charging, when you want colleagues nearby to participate in a call, or simply when you prefer a desktop speakerphone experience. Customisable Busylight - Visual Call Status The WH66 base includes a customisable busylight that signals your call status visually. The optional external BLT60 busylight is available separately for enhanced visibility in larger environments. Native Yealink IP Phone Integration Connects natively via USB to Yealink IP phones including T4XS, T4XU, T53, T5XW, T58A, VP59, and MP54/56/58. Broad third-party desk phone compatibility via USB and optional EHS adapters. Reuse with Portable Accessory Kit Compatible with Yealink's WH6X Portable Accessory Kit, allowing the headset to be used portably away from the Workstation base - one headset, multiple working scenarios. Yealink USB Connect - Device Management Centralised configuration and firmware management for the WH66 and other Yealink USB devices across individual or fleet deployments. Works with All Major Collaboration Platforms Compatible with Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco Webex, 3CX, Unify, RingCentral, and over 100 platforms and operating systems. WHO IS THIS FOR? FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: What is the difference between the WH66 Mono and the WH66 Dual? A: Both versions share the same UC Workstation base - with 4-inch touchscreen, full-duplex speakerphone, Qi wireless charging, USB hub, 160-metre DECT range, three-device simultaneous connectivity, and all base functionality. The only difference is the headset. The Mono has a single earcup that covers one ear, leaving the other ear completely open to the surrounding environment. The Dual has two earcups that cover both ears for full stereo immersion and greater passive isolation. The Mono weighs less than the Dual as a result of the single-earcup design, and delivers 13 hours of talk time versus the Dual's 14 hours. Choose Mono for situational awareness and one ear on the environment. Choose Dual for full immersive focus and stereo audio. Q: Why would I choose a mono DECT headset for a contact centre? A: Contact centre agents frequently need to hear both their call and their physical environment simultaneously - a team leader approaching the desk, a supervisor providing real-time coaching, an announcement over the floor PA, or a colleague passing an urgent message. A stereo headset that blocks both ears makes all of this impossible. The WH66 Mono's single-ear design keeps one ear on the call and one ear on the environment - the standard working pattern for high-performing contact centre agents. Combined with the UC Workstation base's 200-user high-density DECT support and Yealink USB Connect fleet management, the WH66 Mono is purpose-built for demanding contact centre deployment at scale. Q: What makes the WH66's base different from a standard DECT headset base? A: A standard DECT headset base is a DECT signal transmitter and a charging cradle - nothing more. The WH66 UC Workstation base integrates five functions in one: DECT signal base, full-duplex hands-free speakerphone, 4-inch capacitive touchscreen controller, Qi wireless smartphone charging pad, and USB hub with two additional ports. One cable connection to the base replaces what would otherwise require a separate speakerphone, a separate phone charger, and a separate USB hub on your desk. Q: What is the Intelligent Mute Zone? A: The Intelligent Mute Zone is Yealink's raise-to-mute functionality. Raise the boom arm upward by approximately 30 degrees from its normal speaking position and the headset automatically mutes the microphone - no button press required. Lower the boom back and the microphone activates. This physical muting gesture is faster and less error-prone than a button press. For contact centre agents and professionals who mute dozens of times per day, it eliminates friction and reduces accidental transmission of background sounds. Q: How does the three-device simultaneous connection work? A: The WH66 base connects to your computer via USB, your desk phone or IP phone via USB or optional EHS adapter, and your mobile phone via Bluetooth - all three simultaneously and all live at the same time. Switch the active audio connection between your PC, desk phone, and mobile by tapping the relevant icon on the 4-inch touchscreen on the base. No cable swapping, no re-pairing. Q: Does the speakerphone work without the headset? A: Yes. The full-duplex speakerphone is built into the base and operates independently of the headset. Use it when the headset is charging, when you want colleagues to participate in a call, or when you simply prefer a desktop speakerphone experience. Q: What does Qi wireless charging support mean for my smartphone? A: Place any Qi-compatible smartphone on the designated area of the base and it begins charging immediately without cables. Qi is supported by virtually all modern Android and iOS smartphones. This keeps your mobile device topped up throughout the workday as a passive, habitual process. Q: What is the DECT range in a real office environment? A: The WH66 delivers a DECT range of up to 160 metres (525 feet) in open space. In real office environments with walls and obstructions, effective range will be lower but still typically sufficient for movement throughout most office floors. If you move beyond range during a call, the headset sounds an out-of-range tone. When you return within range, the call continues automatically. Q: Can the WH66 Mono support a large contact centre deployment? A: Yes. The WH66 supports high-density DECT deployment of up to 200 simultaneous users in the same environment. DECT's dedicated frequency means deploying many WH66 headsets in the same space does not cause interference between devices. Yealink USB Connect provides centralised fleet management. Q: Are the ear cushions replaceable? A: Yes. The soft leatherette ear cushion on the WH66 Mono is user-replaceable. Replacement cushions are available from Yealink and authorised resellers, extending the working life of the headset and maintaining comfort quality over time. Q: What is the optional Portable Accessory Kit? A: Yealink's WH6X Portable Accessory Kit allows the WH66 headset module to be used without the Workstation base - converting it to a portable DECT headset with its own compact portable base. This covers scenarios where carrying the full Workstation base is impractical, such as hot-desking in another area or occasional remote use. One headset covers both fixed-desk and portable use cases. Q: What warranty does the Yealink WH66 come with? A: The Yealink WH66 is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty . Please confirm current terms with your retailer at time of purchase.
