You're replacing an old ceiling fitting and you're not sure if the existing hole is round or square, or whether recessed or surface mount will actually work with your ceiling depth. This fixture sidesteps that problem entirely, its adjustable clips handle either hole shape, and either mounting style, so you're not stuck measuring twice or returning a product that doesn't fit. Add an optional black or satin nickel trim afterward if you want to match your fittings, and the ultra-slim 15mm profile means it sits neatly rather than protruding.
