Hassle-Free Exchanges & Returns for 30 Days. · 6-Month Limited Warranty. Firesmiths Hero Premium Protective Cover You made a serious investment in your braai. Keep it looking like the day you unboxed it. The Firesmiths Hero Premium Protective Cover is custom-fitted to the Hero Smoker & Grill, cut from heavy-duty ripstop canvas that shrugs off rain, sun and dust. Slip it on after every cook and your smoker stays clean, dry and ready to fire up. South African weather is hard on outdoor equipment. Highveld thunderstorms, coastal salt air and months of relentless summer sun will fade paint, pit steel and leave rust creeping around fittings. A properly fitted cover is the cheapest insurance you can buy for a braai you plan to keep for years. Generic covers sag, catch the wind and trap water in the folds. This one is cut to the Hero's silhouette, so it sits tight and does the job it was made for. Why You'll Love It: Custom-Fitted, Not Generic - Tailored to the exact shape of the Hero Smoker & Grill, including the lid dome and wheeled base, so it sits snugly instead of flapping loose in the wind like a one-size-fits-all cover. Ripstop Canvas Construction - The woven ripstop grid stops small nicks and snags from spreading into full tears, so a scrape against a wall or a snag on a fitting stays a scrape. Water Resistant - Sheds rain and morning dew, keeping moisture away from the steel body, the temperature gauge and the cooking hardware underneath. Fade Resistant - UV-stable material holds its colour through South African summers instead of going chalky and brittle after one season outdoors. Keeps Dust and Debris Out - Garden dust, pollen, leaves and bird mess stay off your cooking surfaces, which means far less scrubbing before your next braai. Easy On, Easy Off - Pulls over the unit in seconds with a top grab handle, so covering up after a cook takes no effort and actually gets done. Protects Your Resale Value - A braai kept under cover looks and cooks better for far longer than one left exposed to the elements year after year. Lightweight and Packable - At just 1.5kg it folds down small enough to stash in a patio cupboard, garage shelf or storage box when the braai is in use. Built for Real Weather - Generous 110cm height and 90cm length mean full coverage right down over the wheeled base, not a half-cover that leaves the legs and ash pan exposed to driving rain. Reinforced Stitching - Contrast-stitched seams around the hem and top take the strain when you pull the cover on and off, which is where cheap covers usually give out first. Covering a warm unit traps heat and moisture against the steel. Wipe the cover down with a damp cloth and mild soapy water when it gets dusty, then let it air dry fully before folding it away. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or use bleach, solvents or abrasive cleaners, as these break down the water-resistant finish. Shake off standing water after heavy rain so moisture does not pool on the top surface. Store the cover dry. Folding it away damp encourages mildew and musty odours. Check periodically for grit trapped between the cover and the braai body, as this can scuff the paintwork over time. In very high wind, secure or remove the cover to prevent it lifting. Inspect the seams and hem occasionally and address any small snag early, before the ripstop weave gets a chance to work loose. Every Hero deserves protection. Whether your smoker lives on an open patio, beside the pool or in a carport, this cover is the simplest way to keep it clean, dry and looking sharp season after season. It is a small spend next to the cost of the braai itself, and it is the difference between a unit that still turns heads in five years and one that has quietly rusted at the fittings.
